1.The Invincible album would have enlisted The Neptunes at the production helm. Justin Timberlake’s Senorita, Rock Your Body, Lastnight, Like I love You, Pharell’s Frontin, Usher’s, U Don’t Have To Call and I Don’t Know would have been given to Mike. Add Timberland in the mix, in addition to the stand out album cuts Unbreakable and Butterfiles,  I believe given the current climate at the time that album would have been good for 10 Million plus sales.

2. The ‘This Is it’ would have consisted of 10 dates with the cheapest ticket costing a minimum of £100.

3. An authorised autobiography in his own words. His take on the highs and the lows, the controversies and the surgeries. That would have sold more than the King James Bible.

He would of had a hit album, the opportunity to tell his story while being financially solvent and possibly still be here today.

I have been so busy just gigging,practicing and trying to make things happen that the blog hasn’t been my priority. Honestly, I’m not where I want to be in terms of my DJ career but in my mind I am. In my mind I visualise playing in front of a four hundred and fifty thousand people, I’m playing with Z Trip, DJ Jazzy Jeff and A Trak. I’m flying all over the world, being put up in 5 star hotels and captivating crowds with my skills and track selection. I’m in so much much demand I’m booked for a year in advance.

I guess what I’m getting at is, I have a vision and that vision compels me to want to practice and improve, network and try and secure gigs, play 6 or 7 hour sets and get up and go to work in the morning and practice even more. That vision compels me to believe that one day people will be interested in hearing me share my story. So when it’s all said and done I can honestly say I did all that I could to realise my vision.

Be, Do, Have. If I be the best that I can, I can do what I need to have what I want I love this game.

Best Requested Track  By A Punter 2010 Swedish House Mafia One (Your Name) Feat Pharell. Slightly off.  A lovely lass  requested it. I didn’t have it. Subsequently, bought it. Gone down a storm wherever I’ve played it. Not my flavour milk shake though.

Proudest Achievement of 2010 Purchasing all my tracks old and new via itunes. No illegal downloading. In the immortal words of James Brown. ‘ Feel so good I could kiss myself. Ahhh!!!’ Runner up, securing three weekly residencies.

Best Venue To Play At Cargo Slightly Off. For the duration of the set and the added dimension I’ve bought to the venue I could do with a pay raise. Wicked atmosphere though.

Can’t think of anything so I guess it’s all about goals for next year God willing.

1. Get better.

2.DJ’ing to be a full time concern.

3.Raise my profile.

4.Secure my first overseas gig.

5.Replace my entire itunes library with with purchased tracks. Quality assurance.

6. Get a sponsorship deal with All Saints

PS  This is my 100th post. It’s been emotional.

Given that I was ill over the weekend,  I thought I would take the time to update it. One particularly incident comes to mind which I wanted to share with you.

As you may or may not know I began a new residency at The Last Days in Shoreditch every Thursday. Don’t ask me about the Sanderson. Jokers

Moving on. My set at The Last is from 8pm to 2am. It doesn’t however get busy until 12.45am where its just an amazing party atmosphere until 2am. Where these people are at the beginning of the night I don’t know? Nevertheless, it quite surreal as this happens every week.

I’m playing the last track of the night, House Of Pain Jump Around. In the midst of all the fanfare this track causes,  a guy comes up to the decks and politely asks?

‘ Cuse me’ Do you mind playing less ‘orf der darkie music please? ‘

To which I burst out laughing. I’ve never heard of that track before. Is taken from the Love Thy Neighbour Soundtrack? I know what he’s implying but I find it hilarious all the same. Anyway, the night draws to a close the lights go on and I proceed  to pack my things still amused by the last request. However, it didn’t stop there.

‘Oi!! Mate’ He barks and proceeds to my direction. Like a loving father proud of his son he puts his arm around my shoulder.

‘No offence mate. But I aven’t got anything against your kind.’ He says reassuringly.

‘Okay’ I nod emphatically.

‘But your lot ave come over here, drive our trains, our buses and nick our women. Now your in our manner playing your darkie music.’

At this point I’m hysterical.

‘Fink, it’s funny do you?’ He snarls

‘No. No’ I reply, trying to compose myself.

‘Soon, all your kind will be in ‘ere doing the running man.’ Which he then proceeded to demonstrate, badly. He puts his arm back around my shoulder and sneers.

‘Not on my watch son.’

Lowering his voice he continued. ‘Listen. Like I said, I ain’t got nuff fink gainst your kind. Admittedly, I’ve got a few bedsheets and pillow cases which could do with a good clean. You get my drift? But I don’t want no trouble.’

‘Hold on’ He reached into his pocket and got his phone.

‘Oi Mum. I told you to wait outside! ‘ He shouts.

By this point my stomach is killing me from laughter.

‘So listen.’ He continues.

‘We don’t need your kind round here. You got  a problem with that. I’ll take you outside and iron you out.’ As he sizes me up like a pre fight stare down.

‘Now seeing as you’re wearing a tracksuit why don’t you do yourself a favour and jog on. Take your little darkie music with you  too.’  And walked off.

That had to be one of the most amazing dressing downs I have been on the receiving end off. Especially, when you take into consideration that the guy was black himself

‘ The music in my life has kept me through, all of the changes the world has put me through. It’s alright, I feel it.’

Heard a Daft Punk tune that I’ve absolutely fallen in love with. Something About Us. Gonna buy that 5hit now. Tuuuuuuuuuuune
